How to Cure Hemorrhoids At Home

Hemorrhoids are inflamed veins found inside, outside or around the anus. Symptoms associated with hemorrhoids are: pulsating pain, itching or burning feeling, and a protuberance of soft tissue from the anus. Additionally, if you see bright red blood in your stool or on the toilet paper, you might be bleeding from hemorrhoids. There are quite a few home remedies for smaller hemorrhoids, and the following are just some of them.
Take sitz baths. A sitz bath is a popular form of hydrotherapy and an effect home hemorrhoid cure. In doing this, the itching and swelling pain are lessened without the use of medicines. For this treatment, choose among a bathtub, shallow bucket or a sitz bath sit. The last option usually comes in plastic material with a solution bag and tube that continuously adds warm water during your therapy.
Once you have any one of the three, fill it up with warm water then simply sit in it for at least a quarter-hour. This should be done at least three times a day. Remember to thoroughly dry your skin by patting gently with a soft towel, else you might chafe the irritated area. While some sitz bath therapies suggest adding salt to the water, it is actually not recommended. Adding salt will only cause pain and discomfort.
If you want to lessen the swelling and the pain, you can use zinc oxide paste or petroleum jelly. Use either of the two regularly. Do not use the two simultaneously. The combined chemical composition of the two can cause burns around the area of the anus. Do not forget to cleanse the affected area with water before putting on the cream. Use only tap water for this purpose. Use a soft towel in wiping the skin. Never use scented stuff such as body wash, soap, or tissue on the affected area. The chemicals present in these can irritate the skin. Also use cotton in applying the paste or the jelly on the affected area. Make sure that this area is always clean and free from moisture.
You should also be cautious about your diet. Hemorrhoids are caused by constipations, which are caused by low fiber intake. Psyllium seeds are a high-fiber food, which would help easier bowel movement. When your stool is softer, there is a greater chance that hemorrhoids would not occur. During breakfast, put a teaspoon of Psyllium seeds in an 8-ounce glass of water. Drink this for a week. For the second week, drink another glass during your lunch. For the following weeks or until your bowel movement is better, drink the mix for three times a day. Make sure that when you are drinking this, you should not take other fiber supplements. Too much fiber creates larger stools.
You can also buy over-the-counter medicines and improve your sitting position. Sitting for extended periods of time should be avoided. This can increase the heat around the anus. Because of the rise in temperature of the surrounding area, chafing, irritation, and swelling may take place.
Other medications you could use are pain relievers and suppositories. The former would lessen the burning sensation. The latter would ease the passing of your stool.
Should symptoms or excessive bleeding from the rectum continue, consult a health professional immediately. Stop any home remedies, as they could worsen the situation.
The final medication worth mentioning here is a treatment guide called H Miracle. Created by Holly Hayden, H Miracle reveals a load of simple things you can do from your own home to rid hemorrhoids and ensure they never return.
